Hello Friends of NMB,
Its the First Monday of July. It is the day after July 4th. We survived another Cherry Grove Fireworks show. There was pause last night in the middle of the event. Nothing official yet, but apparently they had something happen on the pier before they released the grand finale. A lot of money was spent on those flying flaming rockets that went off last night. I hope everyone got to enjoy some glitter in the skies for a few minutes.
It is currently 70 degrees on my weather widget with a high today of 84 and very little chance of rain. Enjoy the beach, wear you sunscreen and don’t get burnt.
Some things to do today and tonight in NMB on July 5th, 2021
- Take some shag lessons with Charlie and Jackie at Fat Harold’s. Beginner lessons at 7pm, Advanced Lessons at 8pm.
- Gary Alexander is at HOTO’s tonight starting at 6pm
- Plan a cruise on the Hog Island Queen – the area’s largest Pontoon Tiki Boat from Royal Tiki Charters
- According to Josh, McGuire is at Captain Archie’s tonight at 6pm – Go see these girls before they head back to Nashville.
- If you like to sing Karaoke, look at the list below. It appears Monday is Karaoke night. At least 5 places in the NMB area are offering people the chance to show off their singing abilities. I live across the road from Duck Dive. That liquid courage is powerful.
By the Way, I learned this morning that Southside Band and Southside Saints are indeed 2 different groups.
